September 10-11 2016. Battle of Tunnel Hill, Georgia. This battle is located just off of I-75, south of Chattanooga Tennessee, in Georgia. We will portray a Confederate infantry unit attached to Cleburne's Division, which at times included units from Florida. We will host a mess starting Friday evening with dinner Friday and Saturday, Breakfast and lunch Saturday and Sunday, $20. Register as Pawnee Guard. October 15-16 2016. Newton Raid, Newton Alabama. Confederate.We did this event for the first time last year and we loved it. They fed us, it was very relaxing and plenty of time to visit with fellow reenactors. The kids liked swimming in the river which runs next to the camp. They feed us dinners and breakfasts, there are vendors to purchase lunch from. We will portray Confederate home guard units defending against a Union cavalry raid.
November 10-13 2016. Battles for the Armory, Tallassee Alabama. Confederate. This was a big hit last year with everyone saying it was a fun battle. The address is 1844 Outer Dr. Tallassee, AL 36078. Call Ron Boyce at 850-258-1670 for more info.
January 21-22, 2017. Brooksville Raid, Sand Hill Scout Reservation, Spring Hill Florida. Federal Marines. This is one of the two biggest reenactments in Florida. We have the best camping spot, right behind the sutlers. We will have a mess and there will be a ball. There is a registration fee payable at the entrance, $5. www.brooksvilleraidreenactment.com
February- 17-19 2017. Battle of Olustee, Lake City, Florida. Confederate Infantry, 2nd Fl Co F. Register as Pawnee Guard. Register at the tent at the entrance. Our campsite will be in the Confederate Infantry camping area, on your right soon after entering the area. This is the biggest event in Florida and it takes place on the battlefield. It has the best morning colors ceremony and one of the best sutler selections. http://battleofolustee.org
March 4-5 2017. Battle of Natural Bridge. Woodville Florida. Natural Bridge State Park. We will portray Union Marines and Sailors. Karen will be cooking so mess fees are $20 for Sat and Sun meals if you want to eat in the mess.
March 24-26 River Blast. This is the return of a long time favorite event that takes place at the National Museum of the Civil War Navy in Columbus GA. www.portcolumbus.org. We will portray Federal Marines and camping is on site and free. There is a full size ship mock-up as well as excellent displays in the museum. We will eat at local restaurants nearby instead of having a mess.
April 7-9 2017. St Andrew Bay Salt Works Raid. This is our premier event, we host it! The Marines and Navy come ashore and burn down the salt works. We have a rowed launch which we will use to land Marines on the beach! We also need people to portray salt workers and home guard. The event will take place just west of the Marina in downtown Panama City, on Beach Dr. Civilian and Naval impressions are welcome! No fees. Free firewood. We will have a mess.
April 23-26 2016 Battle of Selma. Selma Alabama. We will portray 2nd Fl Co F, Confederate Infantry and defend Selma against Gen Wilson's great cavalry raid. The battle will be at 5 Marina Dr.we attended this event for the first time this year and we considered it as good as Gettysburg for the action and fun. We loved it so much we moved our event further away from it so we could do both.
